Indy

Fallston

Indy born December 27, 2011, in Delta, PA. We visited his home in January and saw him two weeks old with all of his brothers and sisters. To Matt and Eric, Indy was to be his name. Everyone knows the name of Dr Henry Jones’s dog. In a couple more weeks our adventure begins with Indy when we get to bring him home.

He certainly had his moments of mischief. Chewed wooden spindles on the staircase. Destroyed every solar lamp in the backyard. He loved to eat Kelly’s hair scrunchies. TV remotes were a favorite chew toy. He would steal fresh baked cookies and eat the paper towel they were cooling on and leave no evidence that they ever existed.

Indy could tell time very well. He knew when it was 530am. He also knew when it was 330pm, because those were the times for breakfast and dinner. He would jump or put his nose in your face or just take his paw and reach out to you, that meant feed me now!

He would stand at the rear slider and look outside to give a subtle hint he needed to go outside. He would even reach up and tap the glass to get his point across. He rarely barked inside unless he saw a rabbit outside trespassing in his yard. He was our protector. He took out the snake, ran off the fox, told the deer to vacate his property, and chased the rabbits away from his garden of tomatoes. Indy loved tomatoes, even the green cherry tomatoes before they turned red.

Indy was special to the family. You never felt alone in the house with Indy around. He always sat under the table when we had dinner. He usually always greeted us at the door when we came home. He would push on doors or tap on them to gain entry when it was bedtime. He bounced around to everybody’s room. He was loved by all of us.
